This is a museum quality reproduction of a WWI Lt. Colonel oak leaf in sterling silver. Front the picture they look exactly like WWII and todays, but they are not. What is very interesting is the size, over time the size of the insignia has grown. If you place a WWI next to a WWII and then a Vietnam era LT Col you will see each one is a little bigger. Very small but bigger. So don't place a WWII Lt Col on a WWI uniform. You are purchasing a set of two.
