This is a museum quality reproduction of one of the many WWII V for victory pins. Some of the more popular ones had the Morse Code dots and dash for the letter V as shown on this pin. Everyone on the home front was waiting for that simple message of Victory. WWII was a war where everyone support the fight over the Axis Powers and the V pin was something you could wear even if you did not have a sweetheart in the military. The pin is 5/8 inch wide by 3/4 inch high for wearing on your collar and made in sterling silver. This pin is shown on page 147 of Nick Snider's book on Sweetheart Jewelry and Collectibles.'
