SAL 14. This squadron was formed in 1913 as V13, which became VB1, then DO14, then MF14 and finally SAL14. This is the third and finnaly version of the pin worn by the Squadron and is shown on Pages 76 and 322 of Bartlett's book. This is the third version of their insignia and the second insignia of the squadron. The first was a cover-leaf design of the Cross of Lorraine. This design came about in 1917 and was first designed by Sgt. Blanchot. This pin is 1 5/16 inches wide.
