Museum quality reproduction item
This is a museum quality reproduction, in sterling silver with a 24karat gold plate, of a wing that is incorrectly ID in some books as an aircrew for the P-3 Orion. The problem is that no one at the P-3 Museum has ever seen this wing as part of a P-3 crew badge. So now the question is what is this badge? In the meanwhile some have speculated that GAF was for German Air Force presented to pilot who trained here in the US, nope, so I found a Vietnam Marine who said it is an endearing term used by Marines (Give A F') and could this be a Marine Air Crew wing? Well we all know Marines and that is what this is. This is one of two versions, this one has an filled design around the letters, the other is an open or cut out design around the letters. The wing is 2.8 inches wide. In any case here you can own one of these mystery wings until a real one comes along and if anyone knows who used it, please let me know. I am still looking for crew members who used this for more history on the wing.

We would like to welcome our newest store to the site, Stillwater Porcelain. Pat Pyott has been producing these fantastic porcelain relief tiles and dishes for many years and I first noticed these at the many local restaurants that use her plates and dishes. I was so taken by the designs and quality that I had to find out for myself who was making these and we are really excited to offer her products here at Shop Local Products. Check out this exciting line of porcelain ware.
