Museum quality reproduction item
This is a museum quality reproduction of a very rare badge from the RAF awarded to American Pilots. In 1942 this badge was awarded to each member of the three RAF Eagle Squadrons, No. 71, No. 121, & No. 133, that resigned their commissions in the RAF to join the US Army Air Corp, when the US joined the War. At the start of WWII Americas signed up to serve with the British Royal Air Force in answer to a call for men made in the US and Canada. Only 244 Americans served with these three Squadrons as pilots and 82 of them were lost in action or training. While it I unknown how many badges were awarded you almost never see one of these for sale. This is an extremely rare badge and missing from almost every collection.

We would like to welcome our newest store to the site, Stillwater Porcelain. Pat Pyott has been producing these fantastic porcelain relief tiles and dishes for many years and I first noticed these at the many local restaurants that use her plates and dishes. I was so taken by the designs and quality that I had to find out for myself who was making these and we are really excited to offer her products here at Shop Local Products. Check out this exciting line of porcelain ware.
