WWII CAA indian Head Collar Insignia sterling by Weingarten Gallery
Item Number: P-1236In World War II many pilots had to be trained. Part of that training was accomplished by civilians. The Civil Aeronautics Authority War Training Service was one of the best know of the civilian training services and they did wear uniforms that look at lot the regular army. They even had insignia. This is a sterling silver reproduction of the two collar insignia. Theses are shown on pages 329-330 of More Silver Wings, Pinks and Greens.
