WWII Instructor Hat badge Sterling by Weingarten Gallery
Item Number: P-1238In World War II many pilots had to be trained. Part of that training was accomplished by civilians. The Civilian Contract Flight Instructor's Insignia was worn on uniforms that looked the same as US Army Air Corp. The difference was the insignia and that they were under contract. This is a sterling silver reproduction of the hat wings. Theses are shown on pages 337 of More Silver Wings, Pinks and Greens.
