Item Number: P-1742US Army Air Corps Balloon Pilot Wings. This is a replica in Sterling Silver of the LGB Design. The first Balloon wings that was introduced in 1919 as the Balloon Observer Wings but were redesignated as Balloon Pilot Wings on Feb. 20, 1940. This is a 3inch with pin back wing.
