Many Air Force pilots and crewmen flying Bombers and Transports preferred to wear a cap instead of a helmet. By removing the inside grommet from their caps, they could fit their earphones over them. The earphone headband would press down on the top and sides...hense the name "crush" caps. Our reproduction caps come in Pacific Khaki Cotton or European Olive Melton and serge wool. They feature a reinforced visor, a visor strap with brass Authentic buttons, authentic brass officers U.S. cap eagle crest, a nylon satin headliner, and preforated sweatband for breathability and comfortable fit.
